Network access to serial port

I am busy writing a PHP script to interpret data from a ship's GPS and other measurement equipment. The Equipment is connected to the Navigational computer on our bridge. What i need is to be able to access the output from 3 serial ports from a remote system.

A simple text dump in a shared file would probably be sufficient.

Does anyone know of free software that can do this, while still allowing the nav software to access the serial ports?

Thanks

Seems I hadn't really understood how the HW-VSP3 works. It looks like it doesn't meet your requirements. It only creates a virtual COM port and forwards the data it receives to a TCP Socket.

Take a look at this alternative. I am sure this is what you would like:

ok, i have just installed the program on both sides, but the interface does not make so much sense to me, do you think you could give me a quick run through of how to set it up to  access  com1 com3 and com4 on the remote machine
