Am posting the question and solution as there does not seem to be any other record of this error in blogs, web pages etc.<br />
When migrating to Essential Business Server (EBS) 2008 Premium from Small Business Server Premium (SBS) 2008 the Enviroment checks will not advanced past the Netlogon and SYSVOL checks, giving various errors such as &quot;Domain controllers not available&quot;,&quot;Unable to detect any domain controllers&quot; etc.
