I do not seem to have the Finalize CD option referred to in the earlier solution.  There is an "Options" button that is greyed out.

I get Boot Record Error from the disc when I try to use it.

What is the exact error you are getting when you boot it from CD ?

Is the boot file having the proper bootable files ?

What image you burned in CD ? ( any operating system ? )

if you are burning an iso - you don't need to select that.
it is intended for copying files to cd, and close the cd.
An ISO is always closed

The error message I was getting trying to read the disk was an unrelated hardware problem.
Thanks for the input.
