How long should it take update Outlook when in Cached mode

I have a problem with Outlook 2003 Cached mode. I have a 3GB Mailbox, and whenever I reconfigure Outlook with cached mode it starts downloading the mailbox to the local PC.

For a 2.5GB mailbox, it takes over 4 hours, and i am connected on Fast Ethernet Campus to the Exchange server.

I tried a file copy from the server the client of a single large file and it was flying.

Is this normal, if not what can I check to troubleshoot the performance.

This is definitely not normal. It could be defined on the server. Check out this article and see if changing these settings help out.

You will need to contact the Exchange Admin and ask them why this is occurring.

I want to download all of the details, but it seldom goes over 2 Mbps to achieve this, when I know that there is so much more.
