windows small business server 2003 receiving ntoskrnl.exe file corrupt or missing

Hello,
Our Dell PowerEdge server has Windows SBS 2003 installed but recently has a corruption with the ntoskrnl.exe file and is unable to boot up. I have tried contacting Dell and they sent me an .Iso that would help boot up system with the appropriate RAID drivers.  From there, i started up Windows Recovery Console and tried the chkdsk /r command.  Chkdsk did not fix the issue, so I went on to expand the Ntoskrnl.exe file.  That also did not resolve the issue.

Is there anything else I can try before reinstalling the OS?  Please advise.

I have tried all those commands and tried booting up the sbs disk and waiting for windows to find a previous installation but it couldn't find one.

I guess I will just have to reinstall the os.  Thanks.

Possibly a boot.ini missing or corrupt will cause this error, if you have already restored ntoskrnl then try recreating the boot.ini with the following commands from the recovery console:

FIXBOOT
FIXMBR
Bootcfg /rebuild

If that doestn work try a repair install, thats when you boot off the windows sbs disk, dont press r for recovery console, wait till windows says it has discovered a previous insalation and press r for repair.
