VPN to N5200 NAS?

Our network looks like this: (internet) >> Smoothwall >> SBS 2003 >>computers and Thecus N5200 NAS

They want me to set up VPN so they can all access a shared file directory of important documents.

I would like to use Logmein Hamachi for VPN, primarily for accessing files. I've set it up on an SBS 2003 but would rather have this on our N5200 NAS. Is this possible? I'd rather not have people uploading and downloading shared files on the server.

Windows Server VPN is difficult to impossible to get working through Smoothwall.

The problem is that you can't install software to the NAS, as it's OS is embedded. Does your Router have the ability to setup a VPN? If not, get a router with that option. Just make sure there are enough licenses for all your users.
