Hi All

We are running Citrix 4.5 Enterprise. Web Interface is Web1, ZDC is DC1.

When a new admin logs onto the Access Management Console, he is requested to run a Discovery.

Couple of questions on this that t'internet can't seem to fully answer :)

i) What exactly is the Discovery process and what does it do?
ii) He is requested to enter the 'following servers running the configuration service'. What, exactly are these servers and how do I identify them?
iii) If I enter Web1 and DC1 as my config servers, then I get a message saying "The RPC Service cannot be contacted on server Web1" and the same for "DC1"...again, not sure what this means?

Hopes someone can clarify..

Cheers

I am going from memory but I had this and I think it is caused when you install the Web server on a separate server and use Citrix Access management Suite and then your citrix servers have citrix Access management console.  I have since moved my WI to one of my citrix servers and no longer get this.  I would get the error but everything would still process, I could see the sites and change properties and everything.

The configuration server is your server with the web interface on it.
