How to display Sharepoint document version in an Infopath form?

Usually we define the fields in Infopath form and they get promoted when published in Sharepoint. They are then  visible in Sharepoint along with Sharepoint's Version number when versioning is enabled for the doc lib. How to display the Sharepoint document version in an Infopath form published in Sharepoint?

If you notice, there are not Version is not a column in the library. If you go to Version History of a document then check out the URL, you will notice it looks like this:
http://<site>/<subsite>/_layouts/Versions.aspx?list={GUID}&ID=<DocID>&FileName=<docname>&Source=<source>

So, you cannot simply make a receive connection the library to retrieve the information. I do not know of any web services to accomplish this either. I did find this resource that discusses how to accomplish this with Word and SharePoint with custom code.

There is a versions web service that you might be able to retrieve this information from. You would have to know the list GUID for sure, maybe the doc id.
