I have a client who wants my asp.net application to transfer a set of Word documents from one folder on the server to Vignette using WebDAV. I have absolutely no experience with webDAV and would appreciate any pointers on which C# libraries to use. Also any security issues (IIS - windows authentication issues etc)

Hi

WebDAV is an extension to the HTTP protocol, and is part of HTTP v1.1.  From .NET you'd use System.Net.HttpWebRequest and HttpWebResponse.  In the request, you'd send in plain text the verbs such as GET, PUT, COPY, DELETE and MOVE.

If you would rather have an easy life and implement a wrapper that does it all for you, check out http://www.independentsoft.com/webdav/index.html

Hope this helps!
