Kannel SMPP

Hi all,

i have installed Kannel on CentOS and Kubuntu, i managed to install kannel, but when i run kannel by typing bearerbox /kannel.conf after 1 minute the server goes down( as you can see in the log below).The second problem is ,during  this one minute that the server is active i tried to open the http gui but  i don't get the normal http page nut only this

No need to compile - you can just mess up things with inconsistent openssl and db packages. Real thing here for free:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/net/kannel

No kannel from vendor in CentOS.
Did you build yourself? Install vendor package, at least it has working config file.
It looks like your installation has problems with backend database since main loop dies.

I tried both to build  it and rpm but no one of them works.I also tried this tut.. but without susses http://www.ddj.co.za/archives/46/howto-compile-kannel-on-ubuntukubuntu-804.

i tied that to but again the same problem.Do you have any idea why this mess when opening kannel buy http?

What did you type for url? Do you have antivirus with link scanner which goes into /shutdown?

i used http://localhost:13000 on the local host without any virus scanner and on my pc with http://<ip address of kannel server >:13000 always with same resault.

Can you use wireshark to check what is going on in HTTP session?

I could not reproduce your problem. So all the failure was in the way you packaged kannel for installation. It is not your fault. Instructions off the web tend to age and walk away from real systems. System builders unlike you or me know their job well.
