Iphone 3g exchange setup can send mail but shows nothing in any folder or inbox

We recently switched over from T-Mobile to AT&T and got Iphones for everyone.  The problem I am having is that once i setup exchange and turn off ssl, the account gets verified and I see my inbox and the entire folder list, but there are no emails under inbox or any of the folders.  I tried with everyones Iphone and still the same problem.  I had a unlocked/jailbroken Iphone with T-Mobile that worked with exchange through OWA but I cant figure out why it wont now.  OMA and OWA are setup and were working with windows mobile phones.  Also I am on an apple computer so cant use activesync.

You wouldn't be able to use ActiveSync if you were on a PC, that is exclusive to Windows Mobile based devices. The only ActiveSync that is available to you is Exchange ActiveSync which goes over the air.

Use a test account and test your server using the Microsoft test site:
https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/

I figured out the problem.  I installed trend micro's scanmail suite and that was actually blocking the connections.  Once I uninstalled it, everything sync'd up on all the phones.
