oracle stream and oracle data guard
Guys, here is the story.
I got Primary linux server in data guard and two linux standby servers running on RHEL4 and oracle 9208. This is fine. But some how I need to update third standby server which is not RHEL box but HPU-UX. Though, it maintains same ORCALE version. I can not change OS at all. Oracle expert says that we can not have standby server of different OS.
I need to update the data in the HP-UX box from Primary RHEL srever but without data guard.
Now situation is this: I need one Primaty Linux and two linux standby( under data guard) and this third HP_UX standby (can not be under data guard) to repliacet tables.
Some one suggested stream. Does it fit in this. Can Primary participate in Data Gaurd and Stream both. Is there anything else that server without disturbing data guard architecture.
