User cannot scan from HP LaserJet
Hi, im having the same issue as this user only the users machine is windows 2000:

On the windows 2000 when we log in with admin privileges, it works and as normal or power user it does not work.. keep in mind, this is a windows 2000, so i cant try the above solution..

Even though that's a fix for 2000 couldn't you edit permission in the XP registry for these three files to give all users admin rights to them? Of course this will depend on your network structure and existing policies.

Thanks.. that fix was for vista, not for windows 2000. in my case , i have windows 2000 professional on the user's workstation.
Edit permissions in the registry? how would i go about doing that? i gave them full access permissions on the security tab of the HP folder and still didnt work.
