I have a nested jquery modal. When I click on the link to open the second modal it opens as it should and as long as I click on the link that opens the 2nd modal all is ok. The problem is if I click on a different button on the 1st modal, after I have opened/closed the 2nd modal , the 2nd modal opens to full page. I am using an updatePanel on the 2nd modal. within javascript I am doing a postback to refresh the panel with the updated data.
Do I need to add something else to return control back to the first modal?
newbie to jquery
function btnALBSave_onClick()
 {
  var selLeaType;
  selLeaType = document.getElementById("ddAdjustType").value;

  if (selLeaType == "")
  {
  alert("Select a Leave Type");
  }
  else
  {
 //cause a postback for the updatePanel
 var prm = Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance();
 prm._doPostBack('updatePanelAdminLea','');

 alert("Save Complete");
 }
 }

Open in new window

I solved my own problem. Both modals have the button that updates the updatePanel outside of the update panel. I placed the update button of the 1st modal within the updatePanel now all works well. I can do my search criteria on the first modal go to the 2nd modal, back to the 1st modal search again & I don't get that full page postback. If anyone thinks of another way please let me know.
