I am trying to automate Informatica Data Transform 8.6, I browsed the entire net but failed to get the command line for installing it silently.
The -silent command worked to make it no User Interface but at the end the installer threw an error stating some config file is not configured.
The application is java-eclpise based  and Installed Shield Extract.

Have you tried running it with the command line for a verbose log file?  This often points to the error.  it is possible that when run silently, that particular install requires a special flag for setting the config file.

To run with a verbose log, try something like this:

/L*V "C:\myLogFile.log"

Look for any reference in the log file for errors or mention of the config file.  If you get more details, we can troubleshoot further.
