Hello,

I have installed backup exec on a server 2008 standard x86. But i get the error message:
The configuration file that is listed is corrupt. Backup Exec cannot continue. You must delete the user.config file, and then restart the Backup Exec user interface.

i can´t find the file user.config i have activated and looked under the document and setting structure allso, but no file. Does anyone have an solution for this problem becouse i can´t find it.

Best regards

John

The location of the file should be in the message.
See:  http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/303762.htm

If not, try Windows Search

You could also try to remove BE, reboot, Reinstall.  Start Services or Reboot again
