I run a network of about 100 people. &nbsp;I've been asked to setup something like an FTP site so we can post large files for others to download. &nbsp;Our web server is a virtual Windows Server 2003 sitting out on the Internet (virtual server provided by GoDaddy). &nbsp;I looged into the server and followed these directions (<a href="http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/WebDAV-IIS.html" rel="ugc">http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/WebDAV-IIS.html</a>) &nbsp;to a &quot;T&quot;, and when I try to connect to the site from inside our domain (the web server is not a member of our domain, completely separated), I connect to a blank folder and can't write or even see a test file I put in the actual folder from the server. &nbsp;Help! &nbsp;I just need to somehow create a couple users on the server that people can login as to add content and then one or two users who could login and download from it (just like FTP)...IS that possible and if so, what am I missing??? &nbsp;Thanks in advance.

Can't get simple WebDav site to work

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).

Windows Server 2003

IIS is Internet Information Services, the web server included with Windows Server operating systems. All current versions are built on a modular architecture; modules can be added or removed individually so that those required for specific functionality are installed. The full installation of IIS includes HTTP, security, content, compression, caching, logging and diagnostics.

Microsoft IIS Web Server

Microsoft Virtual Server was a virtualization solution that facilitated the creation of virtual machines on the Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows Server 2003 operating systems. Virtual machines are created and managed through a web-based interface that relies on Internet Information Services (IIS) or through a Windows client application tool called VMRCplus. Features included Linux guest operating system support, Virtual Disk Precompactor, symmetric multiprocessing (SMP), x64 host operating system support, the ability to mount virtual hard drives on the host machine and additional operating systems support, including Windows Vista, and a volume shadow copy writer.
