Modifying just one Joomla Virtuemart Category area

I am working on a Joomla Virtuemart cart.  My client wants a photo to appear on the right side of just one category area (Personal Care).  I've included a highly technical drawing to show where the image needs to go.

Do I have to edit a template, change a setting, sacrifice a chicken?  I'm banging my head on the desk!

Please help.

Thanks Experts!

You want to show category image or product image of that category?! On this position
You will need a module to do so if any available here
http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extension-specific/virtuemart-extensions/virtuemart-layout
or google it
If cant find the module you will have to develop it and show in the same Postion where other modules are showing on the right side most probably it will be right position ...

binarygeek,

Thanks for posting.  I am looking to put a static image in that spot, on select category pages. Is that doable?

Yes why not if this image is static all you need is go to module manager from joomla administration and click new button , Create a Custom Html Module add the image to the text editor and save the module by selecting the desired position ...

I can't seem to find the area within virtuemart.  Do I need to go through the virtuemart admin, or the main Joomla admin?

Joomla administration and go to Extensions->Module Manager
Then create a new Custom Html module  ... By hitting new button from top
 On the module Details page
  • Make sure that Enable is Checked
  • Select right position for module or the one which is used to show modules on right side in your default site template
  • Select the page(From Menu list) you want this module to appear ...
  • Upload the image
  • And hit save
