How to convert centroid to latitude and longitude?

I have a set of shapes and a dbf database which contains centroids realted to the shapes. I am exporting these shapes into google earth and the results are not what i expected. The labels (based on centroid) are misplaced on the map.
I have a similar project that uses latitudes and longitues instead of centroids and that works just fine. So my question is, can i convert a cenotroid to latitude and longitude? is there a formula for that?

Here is a centroid data sample that i want to convert to latitude and longitude:
Col_Row      Grid_Code                 Xfld                                      Yfld
1 - 362      207215      -2046500.00000000000      -2132500.00000000000
Convert number above        convert number above
Thank you.

Please close questions. The problem is much to complex to be discussed in a forum and no helpful answers have been added in the past several days.

Thank you aburr for giving it a shot.

I can take any (2 D) shape and find the centroid but I am missing any connection between centroid and lat, long.

Is there some place on your shape which has a value for latitude and longitude? You say you have been successful if your shape has a lat, long. Are you unsuccessful with the very same shape if you use the centroid?
