Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2007 - failed to move replicas prior to removing old exchange server
I have inherited an Exchange 2007 server which is having problems with public folders. More precisely the person that did the migration failed to replicate the public folders from the original Exchange 2000 server to the new Exchange 2007 server or the process failed. The engineer didn't notice before doing a "Remove Server" from the EX2000 ESM thus removing it from the Exchange org.
I do have access to the old public folder database file
When I go into Public Folder Management Console on new Exchange 2007 I see the public folders that should be replicated but they are somewhat ghosted out like they are only half-there.
I have clients that are Outlook 2003 sp1 so I need the OAB version 2 and OAB version 3 public folders restored. Other than the Offline Address Book and Free/Busy info the public folders are not being used.
Is there a way to restore that functionality if the Public folder replicas did not get replicated to the new server and the old server has been removed from org?
