Borland C to VB.NET

Evening,

We have a program that has been devolped over 10 years and the guy that did it has been programming it in borland C and my boss now wants to bring the software inhouse as it is at a stage where it needs a major re-vamp and the guy that done it does not have the time to do it. The problem is I am a visual basics developer not C and need to know the following.

1. Is there a converter to convert Borland C source to vb.net source?
2. Is it quiet simple to read C if so I could just re-write the software it would take time but at least I eould understand every function of the program.

There is no conversion between C and VB or VB.Net
Totally apples and oranges.
Better rewrite from the scratch and it is very easy development in VB.A code which could take 15 lines in C would be done in a single line or function in VB
