Is there an application that will add comments automatically to my classes?  I use the built in function in eclipse to generate the javadoc, but i was wondering if there was some sort of application to generate comments

I think any IDE will automatically insert the basic templated comments to your code automatically if you configure it that way. An example is NetBeans IDE, it will provide all the basic stuff such as @Author, @Version, etc. And you can just fill in the details there.

Hope it helps.
