I have an old ipod that sync'd to computer that I no longer have. I want to save the songs and playlist on my new itunes. I did move over most of my old itunes to the new one but there are about 50 songs it does not have. When I plug it in it wants to erase everything on my ipod. Any ideas how to save what is on my ipod?

I use the software gtkpod, which supports taking songs off of the iPod.  I use it in Linux, but it works in Windows and Mac as well.

For Windows, search Google: gtkpod+windows
For Mac, search : gtkpod+mac
