Pull Symantec AV 10.X from the parent server to the client computer.Pull Symantec AV 10.X from the parent server to the client computer with out GP and client does not have admin privileges.
About 1/3 of our clients do not connect to the domain and can not be members of the domain. I can connect theses clients temporarily to the primary network but I have to use the IP address of the parent server to connect because they do not use the same DNS name on the client computers. Once I do this I can do a client install from the parent server. The client computer are used for training in a router lab and are not on the network very often but I still need to install and update SAV on all the computers do to company policies. I can never see them in the Symantec System Consol in order to do a System Consol Client Install. Once I manually install to the client to the parent server than the client will show up in the Symantec System Consol.
OK, long story short. I need help with a script that I can push to the clients. The script need to check for Symantec Antivirus on the client and install it if it does not exists. This can be done before or after login, preferably before login. The clients do not have admin rights so it needs to be done with elevated privileges.
If Symantec Antivirus in installed than I need it to check for updates older that say 3 month. That way the classroom instructor will have to call us an have us update the computers.
