The Title basically explains the problem. But heres the story. Since upgrading to Office 2007 Outlook seems to hang every few minutes. ) Each time Outlook freezes I can see the OFFLB.EXE process pops up in task manager. If i manually kill the OFFLB process then Outlook works again, however, after a few more minutes the cycle starts and Outlook begins locking up again. Any help on soving this would be great. The PC is a dell GX620 2GB RAM. Problem only started after upgrading OFFice What does OFFLB.EXE actually do?

What i've tried:
Uninstalled Office and ran a clean/full install
Patch Windows (XP Pro) and Office with the latest updates, fixes and service packs
Creating a new Outlook profile
Loading in safe mode

Will carry on troubleshooting

The Office Lifeboat (OffLB.exe) is what launches when one of the Office apps appears to be hung, to try to close the apps, save
your work to disk then try to restart the app.

Usually happens with a 3rd Party add-in , or as listed on other sites whebn there is a HP Printer installed.    Uninstall any add ins and uninstall if any HP Printers

There may be a 3rd party add-in, a corrupted template or document, a damaged registry or another factor, such as HP PhotoSmart
Printer driver, or other issue going on. To start, use Start=>Search to cleanup and recycle any left over files from crashes by
searching for file names found using
~$*.*;*.tmp

Sometimes you have to wait out the Lifeboat cycle to completion (it can take over 5 minutes for things to time out in Windows).

Do you have any add-ins ?Do you get the same problem if you start  while holding the ctrl key?

If you're using an HP Photosmart printer, at present, the common 'fix' is to choose another printer as the 'default' and then use
Office Button=>Print=>Print
to chooose the Photosmart printer to print.

OffLB.exe havn't seen a good use for it yet apart from slowing down the PC. This problem actually had problems with .pst files. For some reason upgrading office 2007 caused the pst to hang or become corrupt. resolved with a simple new .pst

I've never had this problem before but now ShrePoint Designer keeps freezing and when I look at the Process list Offlb.exe is there ...sometimes, ending the process un-freezes Sharepoint but most of the time it doesn't.

As it stands now...Sharepoint Designer is unuseable HELP!
