I am an Administrator of a Financial Application system with a SQL Server Backend.  I want to create reports - Could you please give some suggested financial reports that can be created using SQL Server?  Would I need to use the Business Intelligence tool to create reports?  If so is there a site on web where I could get some basic training?

You can use relational database's such as a standard SQL database in SSRS or you can use OLAP / Multi dimensional reporting from SSAS.

Pros & Con's to both.
