I have general question regarding setting up terminal server that is accessible through internet. What are the pros and cons of making this terminal server directly accessible over the internet as opposed to via vpn. How would you change the firewall to provide access through vpn.

VPN = More Secure in a multitude of levels.  It is an added layer of security separate from Microsoft's solution.

Is there confidential information on the TS?

What kind of firewall are you using presently?  VPN isn't always a breeze, but it often can be if you have the right firewall/router.

How many users are you going to have connecting?
