Faulty OAL entries in Exchange 2003

Hi All

We are running Exchange 2003 SP2. We have multiple domains - uk.kam.com, us.kam.com, japan.kam.com

I am in uk.kam.com

I notice that we received an error 9320 in the Application event log of our OAB server (each domain has an OAB server).

>>Description: OALGen could not generate full details for some entries in the offline address list for address list '\Global Address List'. To see which entries are affected, event logging for the offline address list generator must be set to at least medium.<<

So, I turned on the OAL Generator diagnostic logging to medium so I could catch the offending entries.

There are quite a few, and most don't relate to our domain.

Couple of questions;

i) Is it possible to get an export of these entries (they are all Event ID 9324) into Excel/CSV format?
ii) Is it possible to filter these by my domain (uk.kam.com) only?
iii) Will incorrect entries in other domains cause problems for our OAB?

Hope someone can help!

Cheers

1. Second post in this thread will help with that http://www.powershellcommunity.org/Forums/tabid/54/aff/1/afv/topic/aft/675/Default.aspx
2. Modifying the query may get you there but in this case, I would prefer to see all the offending entries
3. Yes, you are all in one forest, so your GAL is affected by everyone elses stuff.

I'm assuming that AD replication is correctly configured and replicating. If not, this is your primary issue. You will have to work with the guys at the other sites to do this, unless you have permissions everywhere, which isn't really ideal.

Thanks mate...

I've actually used EventComb to get the results out, but this is the result for the entire Exchange org.

Do you know how I can filter out the events for just my domain?

Secondly, I've noticed entries are either 9324 or 9325 - do you know the difference between the two?

Thanks again!
