I am using Windows System Image Manager to create an answer file for Windows 7. When I try to create the initial catalog, I receive the following error:

A catalog file could not be created for image Windows 7 ULTIMATE. Possible causes (1) The initial release of Windows Vista is no longer supported; use Windows Vista with SP1 insetad. (2) The 64-bit version of Windows SIM cannot generate a catalog for 32-bit Windows images; use the 32-bit version of Windows SIM instead. for a list of all suported systems, see the Help topic: Deployment Tools Supported Platforms.
Details: The operation Failed to Complete.

Could you elaborate? Do you mean that using SIM in a Windows 7 environment is not supported? I've already seen no-touch installations of 7 so I'm confident that part is possible.

Hi,
Well I didn't found much information over the net nor with my networks but it is either that windows 7 is not yet compatible or that you have to upgrade your SIM

I was able to create a catalog for the STARTER SKU, but so far that is the only one of the five that doesn't throw an error.

It was an issue with the build, SIM didn't like creating a catalog from the 7057 build but was fine with the 7000 build. MDT didn't mind the later build at all.
