I created a hyperlink in Powerpoint to link to another slide in the same presentation, but when I click on it, it will not jump to that slide.  When I right click and select "Open Link", it goes to the slide

Try removing the hyperlink and then highlight your text and click on Insert, Action (assuming you're using PP 2007) and select your slide to go to.
Hyperlinks and Actions function the same but you get more options with Actions.

Hi Glenna, it's a pleasure to you as well.  Unfortunately that didn't work for me.  When I click Actions it only gives me the options of Next Slide, First Slide, Slide at the end etc, whereas, "Hyperlink", will give you those options plus the name of the slides.  It's so strong, it createds the link, but it want do anything when I click on it, BUT it will if I right click and select "Open Link".  Had the issue with PP07 and PP00. We have both versions where I work.  That's a generation gap.

Hi Gleanna, I figured it out.  I was something incredibly simple.  I just didn't realize it.  I was trying to jump to links in Normal View.  I didn't realize that it had to be in presentation view.  I feel so stupid

No worries, you're not the first and I'm sure you won't be the last.  :)
