Not sure i am in the right zone, could only find one for google.
Is there a way to turn of the street labels on the Satellite layer?  there is a check box to turn them off, but i want the default to be off when the layer is displayed.

Thanks.

The default for google maps is to have that box checked (assuming that box is next to the sattelite view box and says "Display Labels"). If that is not the case clear the browser cache and try again, it should reset to default settings.

I am wanting to program it into the google map page with the api.  I am familiar with the programming, I just cant find a way for the labels to either default to not show up at all or to be off.

I have an overlay laver from my own site. The satellite labels show up on top of the layer when the satellite layer is selected even though my layer is on top. If I change the G_HYBRID to G_SATELLITE  then the labels show up below my transparent layer. I just want them not to show up at all.  Is that possible?

hybridOverlay = new GTileLayerOverlay( G_HYBRID_MAP.getTileLayers()[1] );
