Blackberry Enterprise Server and SLES time issue

I have a BES on Windows 2000 connected to a GroupWise system on SLES. The time is one hour ahead on the BES and the SLES box. When I change the time to reflect the correct time on both, redirection no longer works on the BES and I don't receive email at the Blackberry. Curiously, I can send an email from the Blackberry and it will reach it's intended destination.

Hi, what is the exact version of BES that you are running? (BlackBerry Manager > Help > About > e.g. 4.1.4.15)

You need SP4 or higher to correct this issue (you have SP3).  It would be best to jump to SP6 as this already includes all DST database updates.

I'm installing a new BES at 4.1.6 in a few days, so that should address the issue. I'll post with the results then. Thanks.

P.S. Make sure you don't use current SRP ID on the new server as it will lock out your current BES.

Great. Thanks for the heads up on that. Do you know if I can get a temporary SRP ID, because I will be migrating all my users from the old BES to the new one.

Do you have a remote (e.g.g SQL) or local (e.g. MSDE) BES database?

It's a local DB install, but I'm just now gathering specifics. It was in place when I took over the network and it's now becoming a headache.

If you have a look at my post in the link below it will give you an overview of how to move the entire BES.  My guide was written for Excahnge so just ignore Step 1 under Preparation Stage:

I'd like to attempt a phased approach. Is that a problematic method? Seems like that would be the least intrusive way to handle it. Would the document you've linked to still provide a loose walk-through of that process?
