I just finished sending one email to 2 persons.  There are times I get a return email with one of these 2 errors.  Today I just received them again (its becoming frequent).  These users email do exist and I have interchange emails before with no problem.   The emails address I am sending from is an AOL address.

Can the EE tell me where is the problem?

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at mail4.ISP-DOMAIN-NAME.net.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

<name2@domain-name.com>:
Sorry, no mailbox here by that name. (#5.1.1)

If the recipient has forwarding enabled and the forward address has a problem, you will receive an error like that.

Yes both recipient emails are forwarding emails.  That is the email address I use are address that redirects the email to thier personal hotmail accounts.

If that's the case, what should I do.

Can you send email directly to the forward addresses? or do they bounce?

sorry...wanted to make sure, only one is forwarded, the name2@domain-name.com; the error "can't create (user) output file".  The one is a direct email (email for the error "Sorry, no mailbox here by that name. (#5.1.1)"

For the "can't create output file" error, that is an indication that the destination mailbox is over quota.  For the other box that replies with a 5.1.1., try sending to it from another account to see if it is valid.

HI...I was out of the country.

Understiood for the message "can't create output file" error, means mailbox is over quota or mil box full?

For For the other message, "Sorry, no mailbox here by that name. (#5.1.1), what does it mean exactly.  That email does exist.

Verify that the recipient does not have any spam  blocking set up on their hotmail account.  I think it may be generating the 5 1 1 to discourage the sender from sending anything else to that recipient.
