Exchange 2007 Edge Synchronization transaction failure

Edge Synchronization transaction failure - Credentials for connecting to ADAM are invalid
when I try "Test-EdgeSynchronization" again, I get:

TransportConfigStatus       : Skipped
AcceptedDomainStatus        : Skipped
SendConnectorStatus         : Skipped
MessageClassificationStatus : Skipped
RecipientStatus             : Skipped

I have tried to delete this subscription and add it again for a few times in the last week (also restarting Exchange related services from both machines), but this beahaviour doesn't change.
I want to check how I can sort out this issue

You should be able to ping the FQDN and IP of the edge from hub and also visaversa....
This is very important... you can add in host file the entries etc....
You should be able to telnet from hub to edge on port 25...
check all this and then create a new subscription and then try to sync...
