Is there a scanner or multifunction scanner/copier that will scan directly to SFTP? (no software)

I have seen several that will scan to FTP but I want to scan medical records securely over SFTP directly to our EMR server that is in another location. I also want this to be embedded -- that is not dependent on any PC for the scan-to-SFTP to take place.

yes, several copiers will do this directly.

Xerox and others have solutions for you.

Maybe I wasn't specific enough in my question. I'm not asking for a yes/no -- I'm looking for specific models. I've been all over HP, Xerox's and Ricoh's sites and haven't be able to find one that supports SFTP, so I'm starting to wonder if they do actually do exist.

I'm not certain on models, I know that they support ftp but sftp may not be built in.
You could setup a linux relay, where the ftp was transferred (mirrored) to the sftp as an automatic thing.

I would call xerox and ask them for a secure ftp imaging solution.
I know they have the ability on their high end $500,000 units I just don't know if they have any small units that will do this.

Docuprint 100 + many others support this

here is a security document for your review
http://download.support.xerox.com/pub/docs/DocuPrint_100_100MX/userdocs/any-os/en/FFPS_security_guide_701P46740.pdf

This document just states that with ssh it does support sftp.

We were using a docuprint 180 laser copier/printer in a similar role for the DELIS network.
We had to do have xerox setup some sftp stuff (This was 10 years ago)
but we could process 180 page per min on output and on input we were doing better than 100 pages per min.

Not cheap but it did work.

I have a call in to xerox, I'll try to find you a cheaper solution that will do what you want.

I just downloaded and searched the PDF you link to for all occurrences of FTP. I do not see where it states that SFTP or FTPS are supported. At the end it describes what different protocols mean and SSH is listed there, but it is not listed as a supported output format for the scanner. Maybe I am missing something?

I have found a Fujitsu fi-6010N for $2200 that will do FTPS. Now I'm looking for similarly priced or more cost effective options.

Fujitsu scanners rock, I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.
and for $2200, you'll be hard to beat that price for a stand alone with good speed.

I've got 3 lawfirms that use this scanner, but they only use it for ftp to their file server.

(very fast units.)

Good luck with your scanner.
