run CHKDSK on a Windows 2000 Server SP4 with card SCSI and HD SCSI, can cause the OS to stop working?
I have a SO windows 2000 server sp4.
I see EVENT VIEWER in the system there are errors on my hard drive, such as:
El dispositivo, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, tiene un bloque defectuoso.
if, I run CHKDSK on a Windows 2000 Server SP4 with card SCSI and HD SCSI, can cause the OS to stop working?
* I assume that if the CHKDSK fixes the bad sectors, the operating system stops functioning, would happen?
* the run some tool or other similar type CHKDSK can cause a RAID system stops working?
* what steps should I follow to run CHKDSK on W2000 server (currently have AD, DNS, DHCP ,..)?
thanks for you help.
