set up logmein

My son ( lives few hundred miles fro home,has a pc problem,which if I was there I could fix.I have LogMeIn software installed (free ) on my PC.,I need to advise him how to set it up on his .in laymans terms.so I can access from mine.and rectify his fault.What advise is needed for him to do so

Do you have LogMeIn Rescue? If so, here's the getting-started guide from LogMeIn, which is pretty much a complete step through to getting started, including how a customer (in this case, your son) can start a new support session using a PIN:

If you have regular LogMeIn, so you can remotely access your own computer, that installation makes no difference. Your son would have to make a LogMeIn account, install the software, then add you as a secondary user (or give you his LogMeIn passwords). You could then log in remotely to his computer.
