get email address from website visitor without database

Hi All,
I am using a web server that does not support any databases and I want to get an email address from any visitor to my site.  i could use a form and a mailto statement but that would require the visitor to send the email through their client which I hope to avoid.  I would like to have an input box for the email address and a subnit button which would email me the contents oF the input box when clicked.

I would also like the form to pop up when the index file is opened so the visitor would have the option of first entering their emasil address before entering the site.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanls

But if you insist on a popup page you can add it to the onload

<BODY onLoad="popup('autopopup.html', 'ad')">

Open in new window

Hi ModarHijazi,
I checked out both and both are great and part of the answer I am looking for.  Now that I have a form I need to have it pop up from my index.html page so it is the first thing the visitor sees when they arrive, and then display the index.html after they submit their email address.

Thanks

U can do it as a pop-up but if the client have a pop-up blocker it won't be a good solution.
So i suggest that you can make it as a separated page (which will become your new homepage) then it will direct you to the main page(your old homepage).

I copied from an earlier example, it's just the title of the page that you want to appear on the popup.
