I have a business that receives emails to bid on jobs. I am competing against other business and the quickest one to respond to the email gets the work. I am renting space on an email server and have Outlook 2007 configured to check for emails every 60 seconds. Is there a better way?

Well, you could host your own email server and the mail will be delivered immediately. With the POP3 and Outlook, one minute is the is the lowest setting possible...as you know. Of course that doesn't mean it will always take one minute for you to receive mail after someone has sent it.

I am struggling to provide you any better information than hosting your own mail server -- if 60 seconds is too long to wait for an email.
