Cannot see Playboy Archive

Playboy has recently made its Archives available for free, I am told, on the Internet.  The URL is http://playboy.covertocover.com/
You need MS Silverlight to see the site.  I have the latest version installed.  (It works fine on http://www.nbcolympics.com/video/player.html?assetid=69caa828-06d9-43d6-b9db-4e84731cf0c3 )

But when I link (or paste the URL) to http://playboy.covertocover.com/ in IE7 all I see is a black window.  The browser frame still displays normally.  I get no error messages.  I can right click and View Source, but my knowledge of code is small.  Maybe others will see something.
I also tried IE7 with no Add-ons, putting http://playboy.covertocover.com/ into IE's Trusted Sites, and using Opera and Firefox.  All display only the black window.
I also looked into my MVPS HOSTS file.  a.playboy.com and playboy.us.intellitxt.com are there, but they should not block the Archive site.
Friends of mine tell me they can see the site without problems.
Does anyone have any ideas what I should do to see http://playboy.covertocover.com/  ?

no covertocover.com entry in the hosts?

jcimarronAuthor Commented:
johnb6767--Good idea, but no, no covertocover.com in HOSTS.  If there were I do not think I would get a black window or be able to access View Source.
Thanks, though.

I turned off the IE popup blocker.  That did not help.

[Webinar] Kill tickets & tabs using PowerShell

Are you tired of cycling through the same browser tabs everyday to close the same repetitive tickets? In this webinar JumpCloud will show how you can leverage RESTful APIs to build your own PowerShell modules to kill tickets & tabs using the PowerShell command Invoke-RestMethod.

True....

Maybe it is running something your browser cannot handle? Silverlight, Flash etc?? Kinda at a loss....

Actually, it's a black page, that when prompted, is a Silverlight module..... Right clicked on it, and it stated "Silverlight Configuration.....

johnb6767--I guess I misunderstood your post.   When you said "Actually, it's a black page, that when prompted, is a Silverlight module."  , I thought you meant the Playboy Archive page.
As mentioned in my original post, I have the latest version of Silverlight and it works fine on other sites.

Thats the only thing I can see... Its all Silverlight Code, when tight clicked on... I would uninstall it/reinstall it still, or double check to make sure it doesnt have any addons....

johnb6767--"Its all Silverlight Code, when tight clicked on"  Can you elaborate?  What are you clicking on?  What is a tight click?  (right click on the black window from Playboy Archive??  The right click options are plain vanilla.  View Source is the only one that seemed to have any promise.  Unless Encoding could offer something.  The setting now is Unicode (UTF-8) )
"double check to make sure it doesnt have any addons"  Add-ons??  I have already tried running IE7 without add-ons.  Does Silverlight have add-ons?
I uninstalled and reinstalled Silverlight when I originally had this problem (and before I posted).  No change.

"when tight clicked on"
should read
"when right clicked on"

See my screenshot... IE7, defaults standard Encoding.....SL addon is npctrl.dll.....

johnb6767--Thanks very much for the screenshot.  Now I know what I am not seeing.
You mention you right clicked.  I assume you mean to access the Source code for the page.  I can do that, but my knowledge of code is not enough to permit me to see if there is any clue of a fix that I can try.  I have attached the code.
I tried left clicking over much of the blank, black screen to see if I could hit the Enter button, but no luck.
The Silverlight ActiveX control (npctrl.dll) is enabled.
When you click on Enter, what is the URL of the site you reach?

http://playboy.covertocover.com/

I am right clicking in the middle, and I get the Silverlight Configuration as I posted above I am not messing with source code, so if you dont see that, then chances are your SL config might be off....

Thanks, but that is disappointing.  That is the same site as the sign in site.  I was hoping it might be something different.
In case I was not clear, I see nothing but a black (and blank) screen at that site.  I can access Source Code, but I right or left clicking all over the site accomplishes nothing.

I understand exactly what you are saying.... And from what I see, when I right click, I get a SilverLight Configuration Menu. If you arenet seeing that, it HAS TO BE a silverlight problem.... Unregister the DLL, and delete it, and then uninstall it/reinstall SL....

Kinda like when you right click a video at Youtube, you get the Flash options.......

I am not looking, or refering to anything regarding the source code....

johnb6767--I appreciate your hanging in there.  I tried first to register npctrl.dll and got the message the .dll could not be found.  I then searched for npctrl.dll and found it in the Silverlight folder.  I  tried to register npctrl.dll using the full address to the Silverlight folder.  It still could not be "found".  I tried to unregister npctrl.dll and got the same message.
I am not sure what the difference is, but I went into the Silverlight folder, right clicked on npctrl.dll and sent it to regsvr32.exe.  This time I was told that the registration had succeeded.  But when I tried to access the Playboy site, I still got the black and blank screen.
In the Silverlight folder is a file called Silverlight.Configuration.exe,  I clicked it and went through the various tabs presented.  The Application Storage tab showed the NBC Olympics site was using Storage.  But Playboy was not.  I saw no way to add Playboy.  (I suspect I have to see the site, itself, to add it.)
Since I had already uninstalled Silverlight and reinstalled it, I decided this path had no prospect.

If you uninstalled it, it might not have recreated the files properly. I would rename the SL folder, and see if ther is one under %appdata% as well, in your profile, that you can rename as well.....

That way you KNOW youre getting a good install....

Outside of that, I dont have  any other options, I am sorry....

I guess I do not understand how to "Configure" Silverlight for a particular website.  As mentioned using Silverlight.Configuration.exe I could not figure out how to do so.  It seems the NBC Olympics site configured itself (or perhaps there was a button to click).  But if I cannot see anything on the site, which is the case with the Playboy Archive, it seems it cannot be configured.  If anyone has ideas on this, please post.

johnb6767--Thanks for all your ideas.  Let's see what happens.

Someday I will figure out how to configure Silverlight.
