I am running Joomla's latest version 1.5.8. on our site: http://www.pack250topeka.org After I installed and enabled the mod_simple_video_flash_player module it says "Operation aborted" and closes the browser and sometimes it loads. It works fine in Firefox but only loads once in a while on IE7. Please, any ideas??

From a quick look at your headers, you are missing a file: crossdomain.xml

This should fix the problem:

1. Create a new file called "crossdomain.xml"
2. Pase the code snippet into this file (only have the code snippet in the file, nothing else)
3. Upload.. The file should be in: http://pack250topeka.org/crossdomain.xml

Let me know if this solved it. Cheers..
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM
"http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
<cross-domain-policy>
<allow-access-from domain="*" />
</cross-domain-policy>

The Ultimate Checklist to Optimize Your Website

Websites are getting bigger and complicated by the day. Video, images, custom fonts are all great for showcasing your product/service. But the price to pay in terms of reduced page load times and ultimately, decreased sales, can lead to some difficult decisions about what to cut.

What IE version? Didn't crash for me on IE7 or IE8, just saw the video wasn't loading.

See if this makes any difference..
// FIND THIS
							<script language="javascript"  type="text/javascript" ><!--
	function navLoaded(elem, modid){
		myspan = document.getElementById("testspan"+modid);
		modbody = myspan.parentNode;
		modbody.innerHTML=elem.innerHTML;
	}
	function callNavigation(link){
		body = document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0];
		if (!document.getElementById('calnav')){
			iframe = document.createElement('iframe');
			iframe.setAttribute("name","calnav");
			iframe.setAttribute("id","calnav");
			iframe.style.display = "none";
		}
		body.appendChild(iframe);
		iframe.setAttribute("src",link);
	}
	//--></script>

// REPLACE WITH THIS

<script language="javascript"  type="text/javascript" ><!--
	isReady = false;
	window.addEventListener("load", function() { isReady = true; }, false);

	function navLoaded(elem, modid){
		myspan = document.getElementById("testspan"+modid);
		modbody = myspan.parentNode;
		modbody.innerHTML=elem.innerHTML;
	}
	function callNavigation(link){
		if (!isReady){
			return false;
		}
		body = document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0];
		if (!document.getElementById('calnav')){
			iframe = document.createElement('iframe');
			iframe.setAttribute("name","calnav");
			iframe.setAttribute("id","calnav");
			iframe.style.display = "none";
		}
		body.appendChild(iframe);
		iframe.setAttribute("src",link);
}
	//--></script>

Wow, I don't know where to begin to look for that.  It's within my Joomla components somewhere, I just don't know where.

lol I've been there.. CMS software can be a pain to navigate.

If it's any help, I'm pretty sure the issue is that JS appendChild block. It's documented..
