Hi,

I have a text chatting module in my website using javascript and php.

I want to add voice and video chat to it with a good quality.

How do you suggest I do it? Where shall I start from? Shall I use Flex or flash. Or is there any application or library I can add to my code to enable voice and cam?

Thanks

You can use Flex because it has inbuilt audio and video capture controls. You'll probably need to use it with Flash Media Server or some other media server like (Wowza Media Server).

Can I embed it to my current chat ? Because I have a complete system and authentication.

I don't want to loose that. If you send me any tutorials or steps on how to add flash or use flex to a current chat system I will appreciate it.

Possibly, yes. Flex project will generate an SWF file which can be embedded into your existing javascript, html, php solution. In Flex you can also interact with Javascript using ExternalInterface. See this: http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/langref/flash/external/ExternalInterface.html
