Extra box within the cmd box

When I open a command box and ping msn or google or do an ipconfig, the command runs but then another box opens with that command listed. If I hit the enter key it runs the command again. If I run another command, that command will appear in this additional box. Now I can choose between these two commands.
Its annoying to say the least. How do I get rid of it?
Thanks in advance

Bill

Sounds like something is pressing F7 key ... That lists the history of all commands of that box. Are those commands prefixed with numbers starting by zero?

Hey Thanks!

I had read it was a F7 thing but I could not get it to stop popping up!! I changed keyboards since I guess that or the cheap KVM was causing the F7 to be "stuck". WOW HOW ANNOYING!!
