Erasing Dat Tapes with Back Up Exec 110D

Hi all,
Just wondering how I may erase dat tapes with back up exec 11.0D.?
There is an option to erase tapes but its greyed out for some reason.?

If the options for Quick Erase and Long Erase are greyed out, it means that your tape drive doesn't support the corresponding SCSI commands used by Backup Exec to erase the drive.
You'll have to use some other tools - maybe created by the manufacturer - to erase those tapes.
