Default loading image from Adobe flex

Hi ,

When the Adobe flex application loads, the default loading image comes which shows that the application is loading and wait for some time.
In my application, it takes some time to load images from server, but still the default loading image is not coming.

Could you please suggest me what changes i  need to make in order to display the default loading image.

I also tried with custom preloader, but i guess that flex framework has to give itself the loading image and we need to use that

Please suggest

Thanks and Regards

Are you saying that both the custom preloader and the default preloader are not showing?
If that's the case, what is the size of the SWF file?

And how have you included images? If you embed them:
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex/quickstart/embedding_assets/

.. then you'll find thart the images become part of the main SWF and will not get loaded after the loading of the SWF. Hence you won't see the delay.

I hope I understood your question correctly.

Hi,

Custom preloader is working fine. But default loader is not coming.
I want to know, is there any specific setting that we need to do for default loader?

When the main application which contains around 15 images loads, screen is blank and it seems that nothing is happening.
So in that time, if the loading image is displayed then it'll tell user that something happening in background.
We can achieve this by custom preloader, but i want to handle it with Default Flex loader.

Hope it clarifies now

Thanks
Puneet

Okay, you need to embed the 15 images and remove the custom preloader.. Check the link posted above.. ;-)
