Disable or Replace Send to menu option in Word 2003/7

Hi Experts,
As part of a workflow and document control process I want to disable the send to button (i.e. Send to - Mail Recipient) (option) in word 2003 and have my own send button with its own options.
This button(option) does not seem to have an event like DocumentBeforeSave that I can manipulate from the add-in that I am developing.
Is there any other way that I can achieve this?
regards

You should just be able to edit the File menu and remove those options in your add-in template and when that loads from startup, it will override the default one.

Open your add-in template, and customize the File menu to be the way you want it (Tools, Customize).
