We have recently upgraded our Exchange environment to 2007. Everything is moved off the 2003 server and we turned it off yesterday. After a few hours we got calls that our Unity system wasn't working right. After some investigation we could call into Unity, login, and then got "The message server is offline, please try again later", instead of "Hello". If I turn the Information Store service on the 2003 server back on the Unity system works normally. I spend several hours on the phone with the Cisco TAC and they were no help. Have anyone ever retired a 2003 Exchange Server while using Cisco Unity 5.0?? We have run permissions wizards, and Message Store Utilities but nothing works.
