Nortel Network Call Pilot 150/mini Setup.

i have the Call pilot 150/mini System. we had basic office lines setup and since we  moved to a new building  everyone was to get there own ext and custom name. i do not know what happened to the System disk during the move.

i need to  get ahold of the following items

1. Call Pilot 150/mini System Disk.

all help is greatly appreciated.

If you need to change ext that's easy, but first see if you could communicate with the callpilot 150.

its running but i cant communicate with the call pilot. i also dont have the pc software that is used to communicate with it. also doesn't the disk have the software on it to do what i need?

Firstly,
Here is what I would do.  

1) I would statically set my laptop's nic with the following IP 192.168.110.12
2) Subnet 255.255.255.0
3) Then, I would ping the default IP address of the call pilot 192.168.110.10, to see if it gives you a reply.
4) If it does, then open up a browser and type in the call pilots IP address in the URL bar.  The gui interface should come up if the default IP address was not changed.

If the default IP address was changed then...

We will take the next step...

ok i try what you said and it does not even light up the status light next to the ethernet port. it also  says network cable unpluged.

Ok,

That's interesting.  I'm assuming that the callpilot is turned on? Also, I'm assuming that your using a straight through ethernet cable.  That should've atleast given you a link light.  Please make sure that the cable is not defected.  If all else fails, we will have to terminal into the CallPilot 150.  (That would require a RS-232 cable)  

We might just have to given that we will need to reset the administrator password and change the IP address to fit your network.

Yea its turned on and running. i can go to the shack and get a new stright through ethernet cable.  i have a rs-232 to usb with drivers would that work? if the new cable does not work?

FYI:
I just remembered...

Try a cross over cable...
Newer laptops will auto detect the cabling and adapt. Older laptops will not and require a crossover cable to communicate with the Call Pilot.

just incase here are the parameters:

RS-232 terminal communication parameters:
9600 baud
8 data bits
1 stop
bit/no parity/no flow control

Ok I got in the deviice using the rs -232. I tryed the both types if the cat5 and no luck no the web side

So since you are now inside the device with the rs-232 cable, are you able to administrator the settings?

If so, then you should change the IP address of the callpilot and give it an IP address on your network.

dhav79 the callpilot mini 150 ethernet port still does not come on. i checked in the settings and it shows ENABLED. i read some were  that you need the client software for it to work which i do not have.

ok i got into the mini using a router in between the unit and the pc. how would i go and acquire the client software for the 150 mini?
