Functionality of a Home Server

Windows home server can back up all of  the computers on the network. can it also  run virus scans, defragment other computers and do other maintenance tasks?

WHS can monitor status of anti-virus software on your client PC's, and provide warnings when that client software is disabled or out of date.

I haven't seen anything that would actually run scans, defragging, or other functions like you ask, but there are lot's of add-ins available.  Have you looked at the wegotserved.co.uk site?  lots of info there

I have several computers in a home network. Two of the computers have 7   1.5 terabyte drives. They recognize each other in the network but are unable to share files. When I disconnect some of the drives, they are able to share files. Is there a limit to either the number of shared hard drives or drive space in a computer for file sharing?

Thanks for accepting my answer.  I think your issue on the file sharing needs to be posted as a new question.  It doesn't sound like its specific to WHS.
