bluetooth mouse does not reconnect after hibernation in Vista Business

Hi,
I use a Targus bluetooth mouse (AMB02US) on Vista Business. I installed the mouse without problems. It works great until I hibernate the laptop. When coming out of hibernation, the mouse does not re-connect even when I press the connect button on the mouse. It shows in the list of installed bluetooth devices in Vista but does not work. When I re-install, it works fine. I am using the latest drivers in device manager for the Microsoft bluetooth Enumerator and the Thinkpad Bluetooth with Enhanced data rate devices. According to Targus.com, the mouse does not need any specific drivers.
Any suggestions on how I can have it re-connect without re-installing it each time?

Check for a BIOS update for your computer.  Some Lenovo laptops have had similar issues with USB ports that required a BIOS update.

I updated the bios and bluetooth drivers to the latest version last week. I noticed today that even a fresh reboot does not reconnect the mouse. It has to be re-installed each time. During the install process, a message says that the mouse is already connected.

I contacted Targus Tech Support and they told me the mouse needs to be installed each time the computer restarts or comes out of sleep/hibernation mode.
